Washington Conservation Action

Project Overview
Washington Conservation Action (WCA), an orgainization dedicated to environmental justice and sustainability, was formed through the merger of two entities. To reflect this new unified identity, WCA needed a modern website that could combine the content and audiences of both legacy sites while providing a clear, engaging experience for users.
Scope of Work
The project required consolidating two seperate websites into one cohesive platform that embodied WCA's brand. In addition to merging content and audiences, WCA needed reusable design tools to support future growth, a streamlined donation system to enhance fundraising, and the ability to manage both their primary site and a secondary nonprofit site under a single umbrella.
Approach
New Theory collaborated closely with WCA to design a flexible system built around reusable design blocks, giving the organization an easy way to build and customize new layouts. We integrated a donation platform to simplify the giving process and increase fundraising opportunities.
Mid-project, WCA requested an additional mini-website for the Washington Conservation Education Fund. To meet this need, we transitioned tthe organization to a WordPress multisite setup, enabling them to manage both websites from one system while maintaining consistent branding.
Results
The final product delivered two connected websites that reflect WCA's unified identity and make ongoing content management simple for their team. With reusable design blocks, new donation tools, and a multisite structure, WCA gained a platform that supports both present needs and future growth. The impact was immediate. Within 5 months of the site launch, WCA saw a 43% increase in website traffic.
