Project Overview
Mitch Stuart is a leading provider of custom travel packages for businesses and nonprofits, often used in fundraising events. Their packages are uniquely tailored to each client's needs, and they needed a website that reflected this level of personalization. They approached New Theory to design and build a modern site that would not only differentiate them from competitors but also allow them to create customized expereicences for new and returning clients.
Scope of Work
The project required dual functionality: one view for prospective clients exploring travel package options, and an other for established organizations with accounts, ready to buy packages for upcoming events. The scope also included developing a flexible design system that Mitch Stuart could use to create new pages in the future.
Approach
The project began with a discovery phase, including information architecture, wireframes, and an interactive prototype to preview the design direction.
The first phase focused on creating the public-facing experience, including a new homepage and travel experiences section. We applied UI design principles to craft eight unique page designs optimized for both desktop and mobile.
The second phase focused on the logged-in user experience, redesigning 13 pages to function more like an e-commerce platform, complete with a cart for selecting and purchasing travel packages. To ensure consistency, we also delivered a full design system with guidelines for colors, typography, and button styles, empowering Mitch Stuart to extend the site as needed.
